Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card II
The Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card™ by Stereo Optical is a stereo depth perception, visual acuity, and depth accommodation testing product designed specifically for testing near vision. Near vision is often negatively affected by hyperopia, also known as farsightedness, and presbyopia, the natural degradation of vision that takes place beginning around age 40.
The Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card™ is a convenient, powerful tool that can be used to quantify many parameters of a test subject’s near vision in a comfortable clinical setting. It allows multiple tests to be performed quickly and efficiently. With the Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card™, it’s easy to a diagnose a variety of refractive errors (such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism) and numerous diseases and disorders of the eye. It is also highly valuable for diagnosing many other vision problems affecting all aspects of stereo vision, including depth perception, visual acuity, and depth accommodation.
For vectograms, projector slides, and screening cards, clean and disinfect the surface area gently with disinfectant wipes or a soft, slightly damp, and lint-free cloth with 70% isopropryl alcohol. Never spray alcohol directly on the surfaces.
The Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card™ is useful for general vision screening as well as for diagnosing a variety of common eye problems associated with functional near vision. The Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card™ can be used to perform the following tests:
- Binocular cross cylinder
- Monocular cross cylinder
- Refractive errors and irregularities
- General close-range visual acuity
- Range of accommodation
- Random dot and real contour stereopsis
- Horizontal and vertical phoria
- Horizontal associated phoria
- Vertical associated phoria
- Fixation disparity
The Borish Vectographic Nearpoint Card™ is designed for use with a refractor, which is not included with the card.
