The benefits of the contrast sensitivity analyzer, the Functional Vision Analyzer, is simply that you have control light levels based on standards (FDA guidelines, ANSI, and ISO standards) as well as controlling the viewing distance. It allows very quick, easy way of measuring contrast sensitivity and from those results one can take the data and it automatically produces pictures that shows you the gain or loss of contrast sensitivity of your patient.
