With LASIK surgery, it is well known with conventional LASIK that was typically a loss of contrast sensitivity. Since the conventional LASIK, there’s been wavefront-guided LASIK and companies are reporting and I have done studies with them about 20 odd percent of the patient will actually have better contrast sensitivity post-LASIK than best corrected pre-LASIK so the wavefront-guided technology offers a certain advantages. To the doctor, this technology offers them a way to actually measure their results, in terms of contrast sensitivity, with the various technics that are out there and the various intraocular lenses, so actually in a short time they can build up their own database and realize which techniques are most efficacious for which patient.
