For near slides, make sure you have NEAR on the slide lined up with the NEAR indicator on the vision tester, and that the NEAR button is depressed.
For far slides, make sure you have FAR on the slide lined up with the FAR indicator on the vision tester, and that the FAR button is depressed.
Optec® 5000 series vision testers: the serial number plate is on the inside surface of the right observation door.
Optec® 2000 series Vision Testers: the serial number plate is on the control panel.
To clean lenses (at least once each week):
Outside surface: use a soft, lint-free cloth
Inside surface: use a long cotton swab
To clean mirrors (at least once each year):
Use Windex® or another non-abrasive glass cleaner
To clean slides (at least once each year):
Clean slides inside the unit, one at a time
Use Windex® or another non-abrasive glass cleaner
Use compressed air to remove dust particles
All Optec® vision testers have a two-year warranty.
All returns must be authorized by Stereo Optical Company, Inc. Return shipments will NOT be accepted without a Return Materials Authorization Number (available from our customer service department).
